A Priori

I met with some church folks today. They're my dads friends and i guess he gave them my number so they could contact me. They're here at UCSB for two weeks and they're the ones that have booths outside the Ucen giving away free bibles. Ive been having lunch with them once a week.

Im possibly a lost cause. Its like beating a dead horse. Sometimes i feel bad because to them God is everything, to me God is...iono. I dont strive.

My Zen reading says that when viewing new doctrine you have to do it with open mind. You cant be learning something new and at the same time debating in your mind with past knowledge. You cant be comparing because your prior thought and belief is most likely to prevail.

I dont think i can see differently anymore.

Nonetheless, they want to meet with me and if having lunch me makes them happy, ill do it. We read 2 Peter. The only thing I remember is the last verse I read.

"as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts."
