I saw this trailer of a movie coming out. It portrays the situation in honduras concerning kidnappings and reminded me of my uncle's experience.
How do you live when everything you have is stripped from you?
How do people find it in themselves to take away everything from someone so that they may prosper?
How can you kill innocent people?
A few months ago, my uncle was kidnapped in Honduras. He was abducted at gun point. My uncle is a successful business man that had worked hard for his money.
The kidnappers were paid the share they had asked for, but refused to let him go. They thought it would be better if they left him bankrupt. After making the final payment they finally released him but not before having assassinated his eighteen year old chauffeur a few days before, killed to show the gravity and seriousness of the situation. Since the young man's family had nothing to offer the criminals, his life was expendable.
... i don't know what else to say. it is a shame.
